Built around a dedicated thermal-insulation layer, the Al Bassam 500 gallon underground water tank provides a balanced storage option for villas, residential buildings and smaller project sites. This underground plastic water tank is made from High-Density Polyethylene and moulded for buried installation, where surrounding ground conditions rather than direct sunlight determine what the tank wall has to manage. The wall is built in 3 functional layers, with an extra-thick high-density polyethylene insulation layer at its centre. That layer helps reduce heat transmission toward the stored water while adding stiffness to the structure around it. A UV-stabilised outer layer protects the exterior and a food-grade inner layer is suitable for potable water, with the 500 gallon body moulded in a single piece and reinforced by wide vertical ribs.
The insulation layer defines how this 500 gallon model performs below ground.
